WED, MAR 20 1-6 P.M. Compton Union Building Come out to the CUB on campus to help us celebrate the launch of our website! We will be having a table out in the CUB spine to let people know about our company. We will be explaining how to use our website and how we are here to help all students.
Doorbell Food Delivery is free and resourceful food app that will provide students with fresh meals from the university and local businesses. Our company will offer friendly service, fresh food and look to unite the community as we make sure students are being helped and we are being resourceful with our food.
Our overall vision for the semester-long project is to create an app that restaurants, sororities and dining halls can give their leftover food to, so they do not have to throw it out. The leftovers would then be delivered to students who do not have the resources to have a well-balanced meal. The rationale behind this idea is students do not have to be embarrassed to go to a food bank because this app will deliver food right to their door. The other rationale behind this idea is that restaurants, sororities, and dining halls will not have to throw away their food that is perfectly fine to eat. We think that this concept would be successful with the target audience and chosen market because there are students that attend WSU that need meals and there are restaurants and other businesses that have extra food that goes to waste. Our idea will stand out from similar ideas or competitors because our app will pick up food that would have been wasted and deliver it right to college students’ doors that need help. We hope that this idea will help with the food waste issue while helping students have a well-balanced diet. |
